More specifically a lot of unfair business practices, from companies to customers and also customer-to-company relations. We understand anything can happen in moving, but sometimes even the best companies will not be able to satisfy a client or even the best customer may still have to file a claim. We are all humans and make mistakes. So, we started TopHelpers to bring ease to the moving industry. We are here to be transparent and show fairness towards other consumers and movers like us.

A little example of how our system works is: if the company gives poor customer service, the customer can write a review, and of course vice versa, if the customer is very difficult to work with, the company can write a review for the customer as well.

The prices include everything and the final cost is consistent with your initial quote unless you change the factors. On the Tophelpers platform you have the options of using Credit Card or PayPal to book your move.

Payment methods for paying your movers after your move is complete varies.

Payment methods of the companies can be viewed during the booking process or “View profile” pages of the companies.

TopHelpers never takes a percentage or an additional fee from customers. We take our commission from moving companies according to the agreement between TopHelpers and the movers on our platform.

You will make a payment during the booking process described as a "Due now fee" but this payment will be applied toward the final payment.

The “Due Now” fee is a deposit to secure your moving date.

This fee is not an additional charge, your movers will deduct this fee from the final bill.

The due now fee varies depending upon the hourly rate of the movers you’ve chosen. For example: if you book a mover with 3 helpers for $149 an hour with a 3 hour minimum, your due now fee will be $111.75

The ‘due now fee’ can be paid via CC, Debit Card, or PayPal.
The rest of the payment will be paid directly to your mover after completing the order.

The final payment will be paid after completing the job.

You can pay by according to your mover's payment options.

To do so, you can contact with the moving company directly or you can send a reschedule request from your dashboard on Tophelpers.

First of all, ask for the moving contract and check out it carefully before starting the job (moving company has to show you the contract). The moving company is responsible for anything that caused by them and they have to solve the issue. If they don’t, we will deactivate their account on Tophelpers.

From our experience, you should move in the middle of the month (from 5 to 25 of the month) and on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays of the week. These times, there will be more moving companies available and the prices will be much cheaper.

Yes, you can ask license and insurance of your moving company.

There are not any special items that can’t be moved. It’s about the capacity of the moving company you choose. If you have any unusual or big items, please make sure to mention it in the note of the order.

We don’t recommend it! All documents and jewelry or other things like them should be carried by yourself.

All moving companies provide "Released value protection". Some of of them provide "Full Value Insurance Coverage"

We recommend to purchase "Full Value Insurance Coverage" to be safe.

Released value protection is offered at no additional charge beyond the moving fee. However, it provides only a minimal 60 cents per pound per article, up to $10k. So if your mover loses or damages a 10-pound stereo component valued at $1,000, you would only receive $6.00 in compensation (60 cents x 10 pounds).

Full Value Insurance Coverage is available through our partners at MovingInsurance.com. Rates begin at $12 per $1,000 in coverage. As early as possible is the best. But you can book companies anytime you want as long as there are moving companies which have availability.

Moving companies have 24 hours to accept, reject or reschedule the order. If they don’t respond you within 24 hours, the order will be canceled and you can choose another company.

If the mover rejects the order, you will have an option to choose another company. The rejection of the moving company will effect its “rejection rate” and this causes the dropping its rating.

If you cancel the order before 24 hours, you will not be charged for any fee.

If you cancel the order within 24 hours before starting the job, you will be charged for 1 hour at the rate you booked.

If you cancel within 1 hour before the job (last minute same day cancellation), you will be charged for 2 hours at the rate you booked.

There is not any extra charges from Tophelpers. There might be some extras on moving companies’ hourly rates according to the date. You can see the all extras and discounts from the calendar of the company you’re booking.

Here are two ways that you can get a discount:

-Using a referral code. If one of your friends gives you his/her referral code, you will get $25 bonus. Learn more
-Refer your friends. You can get $25 each referral bonus from every friends you refer.

-Using a promo code. If you have friends on Tophelpers, they can generate and send you a promo code for any amount from their “Tophelpers balance”.

The rate stays the same as the first hourly rate. If you book 2 movers $105/hr and 3 hour minimum, the 4th hour also goes at $105.

What separates our platform from others is that we allow moving companies to rate customers as well which allows from more transparency and engagement. You don’t get charged for leads like other platforms either. To receive bookings you simply sign up on TopHelpers under the “Join the network” tab and begin receiving quote requests. It’s a simple and effective way of increasing your clientele without spending money on expensive leads.

The service area you entered will be calculated at your regular price. This option saves you from getting orders from out of your service area

All fees have to be visible on TopHelpers. There are a lot option for verities of charges such double driving time, surge, rate, service fee, and you can also put extras on the days through your dashboard calendar. Other tan that its considered as violation of TopHelpers policies.

We will charge 25% of the first 3 hours. For example: If the hourly rate is $119/hr, we will charge $89.25 (119 x 3 x 0.25 = 89.25).
From 2hr minimum jobs, we charge 37.5% of the first 2 hours (for example if the rate is $139, we will charge $104.25 (139 x 2 x 0.375 = 104.25) because most jobs take 3 hours. When movers do a 2hr minimum job, the price is normally higher than their 3hr minimum rate, so we will take a higher commission.
-This payment will be paid by customers when booking the order.
-The rest of the payment will be paid directly to you after completing the order.
-This payment must be deducted from the final payment
